Duties: 

Kingsclere Ranch, in located in the beautiful Columbia valley south of Golden B.C . Currently seeking someone strong in the raising of our beef cattle. Applicants must have excellent background in cow husbandry, cattle health, calving and farming.  Applicants must be able to check and work with cattle on foot, quad and horseback

 We place a strong emphasis on family values as well as work life balance, and are located in an dream area for outdoor recreationists.   The golden area is popular for outdoor sports such skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting, motorsports, and paragliding.

 

 

 

Job Description: 

Successful applicant will be primarily responsible for:

Beef cattle herd: 

  • calving
  • herd records
  • feeding, herd health and animal husbandry
  • field checks
  • fencing  
  • light equipment work and maintenance 
  • herd selection and culling

Farming:

  • Field equipment operation
  • Irrigation management  - Pivots and reel guns.
  • Operation of equipment 
  • Fencing
  • Land Preparation.

Seeking someone with interest and willingness to learn and grow in the business.  With a good attitude and willingness to learn we are interested in talking with you! 

Position is in remote area so must be able to handle this.   Workplace language is English 

Wages may be negotiated periodically and based upon performance of candidates.  Wages based on average of 180 hours per month over the year.  Hours may differ depending on the season  (Less in Winter and more during calving as an example)
