Currently seeking person to work on our dairy farm. Must have some dairy experience and some knowledge or an asset to have some education in farm studies. (not a requirement) Should know how to operate milking machinery, handle and maintain the dairy milking equipment, good knowledge/experience on animal health issues, birthing, taking care of newborn calves, dehorning, treating for sickness, assisting with the vet and other dairy duties.
Housing for single person available on our farm. No more then 30% of wages will be charged for off site housing. Looking for long term employees (not a summer or seasonal job) Weekend work and early morning/evening milkings. Scheduled time off.
Wages are starting wages and will be negotiated upon performance of employee periodically. Because of the nature of working closely or living with family applicants must be open to have criminal record check. English speaking work place - Must be able to communicate in English. Applicants must be okay with living in a rural setting (1.5 hours from Edmonton)
