Duties:
All duties required for hay farming, including: field work, cultivating, disking, swathing, raking, baling of hay and hauling of hay bales.
All duties related to dairy herd management including: hoof care, hoof trimming, milking, caring for the health of the cows and calves. Diagnosing and treating sick animals. Cleaning of barns. Feeding and bedding dairy cattle.
All duties related to beef cattle including: Calving. Processing cattle. Dehorning. Vaccinating. Castrating. Feeding and bedding cattle. General herd health.
General farm maintenance including: Fencing. Rock picking. Pest control. Repair and maintenance of farm equipment. General farm duties
as required.
Weekend work is required.
Please note that this is not an entry level position. A minimum of three years experience is required.
