Duties:
-Set up and operate manual lathes, boring mills, broaching machines, drill presses, milling machines, surface grinders, metal cutting saws, tapping machines, and tool grinders.
-Read and understand charts and tables
-Independently plan sequence of operations required for assigned projects
-Repair machine tools and parts
-Fit and assemble components to close tolerances
-Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings
-Verify measurements and parts with precision measuring tools.
Required Qualifications:
-Experience using conventional manual machines (NOT CNC)
-Experience with heavy equipment (agricultural, construction, and/or oilfield)
-Hydraulic cylinder repair
-Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making
-Excellent mathematical proficiency
-Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
-Solid written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
-Must own basic personal protective equipment (steel toed boots)
3 years experience of manual machining experience. 2nd, 3rd, 4th or Journeyman ticket.
Day shifts, home at night, weekends off.
