Duties:
The Stony Plain Seed Cleaning Association General Manager reports directly to the Board of Directors. Oversees all the management at the plant prepares budgets and manages profit and loss statements at the plant. Is primarily responsible for the sales and purchase of grain and sales. Promotes the seed cleaning operation to create a high end product for the producer.
Job Description:
Duties include :
- Report monthly to the Board of Directors income statement for the month and year to date to tracking profit and expenses.
- Ensure that all safety and policies are followed that meet federal requirements.
- Responsible for the hiring and onboarding of new employees
- Provide guidance and training to all employees that would include Job description and employee reviews.
- Responsible for purchasing and selling pony oats under Canadian Grain Commission rules.
- Supervise Operations Manager and Admin Manager to prioritize activities to generate the most profit.
- Supervise Admin Manager and ensure all contracts and purchases are entered in the Agroflow programs.
- Supervise and help manage inventory to avoid short positions.
- Provide a report at the annual General Meeting for all shareholders.
- Work with the Operation Manager to manage expenses in the plant.
