Kalrob Machining is seeking a Welder to join our team! Kalrob is a general machine, welding, and fabricating shop within the Agriculture, Construction, Manufacturing Industry.

Compensation & Hours:

  • The rate of pay will be $32-$38/hr. depending on experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 2nd or 3rd year apprentice or a journeyman ticket
  • Fitting and welding experience
  • A deep knowledge of welding techniques
  • Wire feed welding
  • Valid drivers license
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and safety
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, safety rules, blueprints, manuals, and documents referring to metallurgy
  • Solid verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must own basic personal protective equipment (i.e. steel toed boots)
  • Pipeline welders need not apply

Bonus Points For:

  • Background in agriculture
  • SMAW, GTAW welding experience
  • Ability to weld stainless steel and aluminum
  • Hydraulics experience (welding on rod ends, barrels, solid line repair)
  • Mechanically inclined

Position Summary:

  • Welding and fabricating products and components using manual or semi-automatic welding processes such as GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, Spool Gun, Acetylene Equipment (others less common GTAW, SMAW, CAC-A Arc Gouging)
  • Operate welder, band saw, iron worker, acetylene cutting table, roller, angle grinders and other power/pneumatic metal fabrication tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, designs and drawings
  • Lining up specific metal components using calipers, rulers, and clamps to fabricate products in proper sequence of operations
  • Fit and weld components with close tolerances and high quality
  • Operate crane hoist, skid steer and forklift
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation
  • Follow safe work practices and procedures; identify issues and hazards
