Job Description and Introduction:
A great opportunity to work and live on one the most beautiful, well kept and updated cattle ranches in Southeastern Alberta!
Hern Ranches is a family run ranch running a 750 cow calf operation located 13 miles south of Blindloss, Alberta. Duties will include calving, feeding, moving, cutting cattle, diagnosing and treating cattle, processing calves, fencing, haying, yard work, regular maintenance of machinery and vehicles and all other typical ranch duties.
We are seeking a self motivated, ambitious person for year round employment. Applicants must have ranch experience including horse skills, equipment experience and must be able to work well and fit with the all of our team to raise top quality beef and calves.
We can offer a fair wage that includes a newly renovated 1600 square foot home on it’s own yard. The home is on a private yard 3 miles from the ranch and comes at no cost to the applicant and includes utilities, Internet and TV. The home includes use of corrals, barn and heated shop. Employees are expected to keep the yard and home neat and clean.
