Currently have openings for Seasonal Staff, Truck Drivers, Ag Mechanic and Heavy duty Truck Mechanic.

Job Description: 

Allam Farms operates in central Alberta, Canada primarily in the counties of Strathcona and Thorhild. We grow wheat and canola, but in the past we have grown peas, lentils, barley, faba beans, oats, and hay.  We operate John Deere & Claas Straight Cut Combines, John Deere Sprayers, Volvo, Cat, KW trucks and Seedhawk Drills and Loaders/FWA

Seasonal Operator: 

Harvest work running equipment. Should have farm equipment experience and mechanical aptitude for helping in the harvest.  Running newer equipment so familiarity with GPS and technical side would be an asset. Running grain cart and combine would be main duities.  Longer hours will be required when harvesting. Working in team environment, reliability are very important. Possibility of leading into full time if interested.   ($25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience) 

Seasonal Truck Drivers:

Experience with super-b's and end dump's, highway,  field driving and class #1 will be required. Asset to have some farm experience and knowledge of crops, harvest and auger operation.  Position could be seasonal or full time.  ($25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience) 

Full Time Ag Mechanic:

Currently have an opening as our Ag Mechanic. Should have good knowledge of farm equipment including combines, grain moving equipment and other farm implements such as air seeders, sprayers etc. Ag mechanic ticket would be required for this position unless person would have 10 or more years experience in servicing farm equipment. Great position for someone that wants to get out the shop and operate what they work on.  We take pride of keeping our fleet of equipment in top shape! Other duties needed will include keeping shop operating smoothly, making sure inventory is in the shop, working with parts dealers ensuring parts are ordered in timely fashion and tracking service on equipment.  ($38.00- $40.00 wages depending on experience)  Class # 1 would be an asset.

Full Time Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic: 

Position available for truck mechanic.  Ability to service, repair and keep our fleet of trucks running on day to day basis.  This position ideally would need class # 1 to test and run the trucks. Good understanding of and experience on truck maintenance, ability to keep good records and keep shop stocked with parts needed for regular service. ($35.00 - $40.00 hour depending on experience)
