Job Description: 

Position Summary:

 Welding and fabricating products and components using manual or semi-automatic welding
    processes such as GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, Spool Gun, Acetylene Equipment (others less common
    GTAW, SMAW, CAC-A Arc Gouging)
 Operate welder, band saw, iron worker, acetylene cutting table, roller, angle grinders and other
    power/pneumatic metal fabrication tools
 Read and interpret blueprints, designs and drawings
 Lining up specific metal components using calipers, rulers, and clamps to fabricate products in
    proper sequence of operations
 Fit and weld components with close tolerances and high quality
 Operate crane hoist, skid steer and forklift
 Maintains a safe and clean workstation
 Follow safe work practices and procedures; identify issues and hazards

Required Qualifications:

 2nd or 3rd year apprentice or a journeyman ticket
 Fitting and welding experience
 A deep knowledge of welding techniques 
 Wire feed welding
 Valid drivers license
 Mechanical aptitude

 Strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and safety
 Ability to read and understand technical documents, safety rules, blueprints, manuals, and
   documents referring to metallurgy
 Solid verbal communication skills
 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
 Must own basic personal protective equipment (i.e. steel toed boots)
 Pipeline welders need not apply

Bonus Points For:

 Background in agriculture
 SMAW, GTAW welding experience
 Ability to weld stainless steel and aluminum
 Hydraulics experience (welding on rod ends, barrels, solid line repair)
 Mechanically inclined

Must be able to work in Canada legally.
