Duties:
Full time position available on our Farm.
Job Description:
Currently seeking person with good experience on the farm and equipment side of our Dairy Operation.
Duties during Crop Season
· assisting Seeding and spraying crops, harvesting (silaging, combining)
· Preparation for the crop growing season including spring tillage
· Harvesting (silaging, combining)
· Grain storage, cleaning and moving
· Directly working with all farm equipment (seeder, loaders, 4WD tractors)
· Preparation of grain storage and cleaning
· Moving grain
· Equipment maintenance
Duties during Off Season
· Assisting in bedding dairy cow/calf
· General maintenance
· Assist in cleaning the dryland, feedlot and shop yards, snow removal as necessary
· Grain monitoring and movement
· Bin aeration set up and handling
Skills required for this position:
· Efficiently operate various farm equipment
· Able to problem solve, thinking outside the box with attention to detail
· Ability to climb heights and follow safety protocols (pivots, bins, grain let, etc.).
· Strong mathematical skills
· Must have a valid drivers license, preferably Class 1 or 3.
Pay will be based on experience
