Duties: 

Seeking seasonal help (Farm Foreman, Machinery Operators & Farm Labourers)  on our Organic Crop Farm with experience running and operating equipment and Irrigation Systems. 

We operate an irrigated, organic grain farm 15 minutes NW of Lethbridge, 1 hour away from the Rocky Mountains.  We use biologic and natural principles to grow our crops in an effort to improve sustainability and reduce our environmental impact.  Our production employs cover cropping, intercropping, biological control, compost, some no-till and habitat development.  This season we will be harvesting hemp, fall rye, mustard and fava bean crops.

Job Description: 

I am hiring employees for the growing season (April to October) to help with the following tasks: tillage, mowing, seeding, centre pivot irrigation, compost/manure spreading, compost production, compost tea, crop monitoring, grain cleaning and combining. 

Employees will also be required to submit work reports, keep records, clean equipment and work areas and perform maintenance and repairs. 

Strong verbal and written English communication skills are a must along with flexible workday scheduling. 

Because of the nature of our farm, you will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks both independently and as a team. 

Agricultural experience is required and post secondary education on the topic is an asset.  

Seeking some mechanical ability and applicants have opportunity for a full time position.
